Carzine: Good Morning Mr Ohura-san
Carzine: How old are you Mr Ohura-san?
Shumpei Ohura: I am 47 years old now..coming to 48 next two month.
Carzine: Which part of Japan do you live?
Shumpei Ohura: My home is in Tokyo.
Carzine: Do you bring your family to Brunei?
Shumpei Ohura: No, my family is in Japan..My wife and son are in Japan.
Carzine: When did you start working with HKS company?
Shumpei Ohura: I have been working for HKS company since i was 29 years old. Before working with HKS company, i used to work with Nissan company when i was 20 years old.
Carzine: How many years have you been tuning cars?
Shumpei Ohura: 10years
Carzine: Where did u work before working with Sing Hiap Hin in Brunei?
Shumpei Ohura: Before Brunei, I was working in Thailand HKS Service Center.
Carzine: What are the fastest car that you have tuned?
Shumpei Ohura: The fastest car is a Toyota Tube Frame Supra with a 2JZ engine which produces 1100hp. This Supra time for 0-400m : 7.8sec @ 300km/h.
Another one is Nissan GTR with RB26 engine modified to 936hp. This GTR time for 0-400m: 9.3sec @ 260km/h
Another car is Nissan 200sx with engine swap 2JZ( engine from Toyota Supra) modified to 900hp.,.The Nissan 200sx time for 0-400m: 9.4 sec
Carzine: What is your favorite car in the world?
Shumpei Ohura: Nissan GTR with RB26 engine
Carzine: What is the best engine to be tuned?
Shumpei Ohura: No.1 RB26 (Engine from Nissan Skyline GTR)
No.2 4G63 ( Engine from Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution)
No.3 EJ (Engine from Subaru WRX)
Carzine: last question, how do you feel about staying here in Brunei?
Shumpei Ohura: I like Brunei Darussalam. The scenery here is beautiful and the people here is very friendly.

mr.editor, is the 900hp 200sx and 800hp gtr bruneian cars?
and just out of curiosity, was the engine sized increased because if im not wrong, 2JZ engine is a 2.5L? to get 900hp from a 2.5L is unimaginable to me at the moment. heheh.
glad to know we have such a specialist in brunei. hope he's not leaving us anytime soon!

retuned? is it due to problems or are you craving for more horsepower? heheh. i guess when u start...u can never stop!
oh ya, ball-park figure for the cost of such tuning will be a good idea mr.editor (carzine). just so that i can sulk in a corner somewhere knowing i probably cant afford it!!

Hehe, it depends on what you want to do with your car. I talked to a couple buddies about getting my 300ZX done up. I wanted to still use twin turbines, maybe at least get the compression wheel upgraded.
The cost? Right around 20k.
But cars like the Vios or certain Protons have bolt on kits made for them which cost only a couple thousand. So it depends on your car.

The 900hp 200sx is in thailand and the 800hp GTR is in Japan. That GTR was his car..now he got nothing, well that was what i was told..but im pretty sure if he goes back to Japan, he might go hunting back for GTR hehe
Lasapka..Sorry,i cant answer that question. The price of tuning varies in what intention u have in mind. so its best if u could drop by to SHH.
The 2JZ must be custom with stroker kit to get that HP range. The T88 turbine is capable of 800+ hp though. It must be hard to drive a 900hp Nissan 200sx.

Aetaaas..i have an appointment to do interview with Mr Shumpei Ohura..thats all..
party chief..thanks, oh yeah the best place to get the wheel painted is at Bengkel Brakas(the one that sell used car) near lambak kanan..powder coat not really sure if its available here..powder coat is much more long lasting than paint though..

2 JZ a 2.5L engine! ... Nope. 2JZ is a 3.0L engine. Found in Toyota Supra.
2.5L JZ engine would be the 1JZ series engine.
Is
