Blitz GTR

One of the top Japanese aftermarket tuning company, Blitz is making a great height in GTR Tuning. They have upgraded the GTR with a custom sequential manual gearbox and convert the all wheel drive system to a rear wheel drive setup. Blitz is planning to bring this rear wheel drive GTR to a Japan D1 Drift series. This GTR is gonna go sideways and it is something that we want to see in the future of D1 Drift series. Godzilla going sideways, that will be the headline.

Blitz has removed the complex ATESSA-ETS setup and the rear-to-front drive train. Result is the first R35 to be rear wheel drive and basically it is now lighter in weight. Inside the GTR, u might noticed that the new sequential gearbox instead of the stock unit. The sequential gearbox unit used is Hollinger Sequential unit. The drive train unit is matched with Nismo GTR R34 LSD. Under the hood still remain the elusive 3.8Liter Twin turbo V6. Only the exhaust has been upgraded with Blitz cat back system.

Blitz gauges which include boost, oil temperature and oil pressure gauges were fitted to the car. Most of the interior parts have been changed with lighter materials, carbon fiber. In upgrading the handling of this rear wheel drive GTR, a set of ZRR dampers were fitted and the GTR is using a set of 20inch BRW09MAG forged magnesium wheels. This sidewinder GTR is not competing for the D1 Drift series until 2010. This GTR is still under development. We can't wait to see this godzilla move.
