Project STI Update 2009
Friday, January 2, 2009
The Project STI now comes with new upgrades since last year. The STI has 3 different racing exhaust fitted on it last time. One is a Blitz NUR-SPEC twin pipe muffler, a full straight pipe custom racing exhaust (This thing is loud as hell) and the current exhaust that is fitted on the STI, a Trust Titanium exhaust.
The new exhaust produces a solid bass sound and increases the torque quite significantly against the Blitz NUR SPEC. The exhaust is mated with a Trust Downpipe and a Autobahn88 4-2-1 racing manifold. The engine now breathes easier with Blitz Airfilter. An HKS actuator and Greddy Blow Off Valve was also fitted.
HKS Fuel cut defencer (FCD) was previously installed. The HKS FCD is an electronic device developed to properly raise the factory fuel cut level on factory turbocharged vehicles. As modifications are made to optimize engine performance, the factory fuel cut is often triggered by higher boost levels which activate a fuel delivery cut-off as a failsafe procedure. The exterior has been uprgraded lightly with a carbon fiber Varis front lip. New uprgades such as full Coilover suspension and ECU Reflash is on the list for this car in the future.

a Vios..
Engine
Stock
Transmission: Five-speed close ratio with 1.5 way clutch type
4.3 Final Drive
JUN Lighten Flywheel
SPEED-D Racing clutch and pressure plate
TRD quick shift
Err even if the vios got 130hp (well its a lie though coz the engine is stock and a stock 1nzfe is 101hp the least) cant tail a 260hp plus wrx...I have driven a vios most of the time and with that stock eco engine, it wont cut it..hehe..yeah maybe he can tail a wrx alright,an NA perhaps..hey then again the guy driving the wrx must be a grandma or something that he/she drives slow on the race track...Thanks for sharing bro, Modulo6830
a video of the vios tailing the wrx would be nice..

i think (and i'd like to think im right) the new owner just asked a question on iwsti forum regarding hp its making now. 280-300ish whp guess was about right, lower than its bonestock whp? no worries, some US dynos read real low, accounts for 25% drivetrain losses?. and they'd say, u need a retune after u got ur downpipe installed, and they'd say, lose ur bov, stock bpv handles boost well over 21psi~25psi.
i just knew the first owner installed an equal-length aftermarket 4-2-1 header... there goes the infamous subaru rumble... tsk :/
