According to sources, the 2010 Golf will have a new breed of R32 Golf. Instead of the previous 3.2 litre V6 engine, Volkswagen plan to change the 3.2 litre V6 engine with a 2.0 Litre turbo engine tweaked to 270hp. That's more power than what the previous V6 can achieve. Not only the engine packs more power, it is lighter too. Top speed will be limited to 155mph. Initially the new Golf variant will be call the VW Golf R20T. This could be the new dawn for Volkswagen. This Golf will be battling out for hot hatch supremacy against Ford Focus RS and the Audi S3. Exterior Styling of the R20T is likely to be similar to that of the new GTI. It features LED daytime running lights, a sportier front bumper, flared wheel arches, and an underbody diffuser.

2.0 turbocharged? what is volkswagen planning? getting rid of GTI? or lowering the power down for GTI? they shouldve make it a v6 turbocharged.. baru nyaman haha. com'n volkswagen, jgn sama kan power GTI dgn R32 ehh. :P

The new VW Golf GTI is 210hp 2.0turbo, 2008 VW Golf R32 is 250hp V6 3.2Litre and the New Golf R20T is 270hp 2.0Litre turbo engine. Do your math better my friend the R32 wont stand a chance against the R20T that has more Faster and economical engine. Plus It is lighter too, so better handling..

oh so the R20T is a new version of the golf? ckp la mcm tu ~~.. bukannya ku nde pandai mengira.. pikir ku GTI kana ganti dgn R20T. lagipun bukannya ku mengira jua bah :P so there's goin to be a GTI, R32, and R20T ?

sounds like to me, its replacing the tired r32 setup with r20t setup. so the lineup would be Golf, GTI, and GTI R20T. I think the best thing about it is that it retains the 4-motion AWD like the previous R32s.

Thats Right, the r32 has done its job well done.
Its NOW time for the R20T take its place and show the vw world what volkswagen are capible of making.
