Day 1 [19.6.2009]
Today we have arrived in Kuala Lumpur for the highly anticipated racing event of the year in asia, The Super GT Round 4 International Series in Sepang International circuit. Boustead Sdn Bhd was responsible for sending 3 Medias (2 Bloggers and 1 Brunei Press Photojournalist) and one Boustead representative to KL as for Boustead Offical media for the exclusive coverage Nissan media event in Sepang International circuit.
The Nissan media event is nothing like other events; it concentrates more onto Nissan’s involvement in Motorsports and bringing the motorsports experience to the media. Nissan Motorsport International Co. Ltd (NISMO) invites us in a series of scheduled events to give us the motorsports experience in their point of view.
There are three countries which were invited for this exclusive Nissan media event, Korea, Indonesia and Brunei Darussalam. As for Brunei Darussalam, the following Medias are two car bloggers (BruneiCarzine and Brunei Motors) and media from Brunei Press. Boustead Marketing Executive, Lim Jin Hou represents Nissan representative from Brunei Darussalam.
We will be experiencing the Super GT like never before such as meeting with the Nismo race drivers and Nismo President, Yuichi Sanada and for the first time Nismo Pit box tour. All thanks to Boustead Sdn Bhd and Nissan Motor Co. Ltd.
Nissan Motorsports International Co. Ltd (NISMO) is one of the Japan’s leading motorsports companies which contribute solely towards Nissan’s brand. For your information, most of the technologies you see on the new Nissan models (such as Launch control system on the Nissan GTR) were built by Nismo Research & Development and tested on the race track for reliability and performance. So basically Nissan Motorsports involvement in motorsports such as the Super GT is to reinforce Nissan Brand as well as to implement new technologies to the production models.
