Its been a while we have not encountered a new roadster from Mazda except for the latest MX-5. Auto Express have revealed a new Mazda MX-2 is on the Mazda menu soon. The MX-2 is supposed to be a smaller version of the MX-5. From the rendering above, the MX-2 by far looks better than the MX-5 and the new Mazda 3 put together. It has that Ferrari California-ish look and Mazda Furai concept design.


We might see a smaller engine under the hood of this car due to the smaller chassis than the MX-5. Most probably it would be a 1.6 litre engine. But if Mazda tends to put a 1.6 litre turbocharged engine, it might become the best roadster in a very long time.
