The Nissan Skyline GTR R35 Spec 2 will be coming to Brunei soon and the local Spec 2 will have minor changes and advantages from the imported GTR R35 that are on the road today.

What sets this GTR apart from the ones available from other imports are the 2 year warranty and 3 year free tuning package for engine, clutch and alignment settings conducted by Nissan High Performance Centre(NHPC).

NHPC is a mandatory requirement for the GTR sales program and it will provided special display and negotiation area according to its standards. NHPC will also be equipped with

Body alignment bench which in an event of accident the tool is used to align the GTR body back to its original factory dimensions and rigdity.
In House tyre alignment machine to make adjustments in accordance with tyre sensors, wheel angles for optimum street or circuit performance.
In house nitrogen machine as the GTR uses only nitrogen to inflate its tyres.
In house body and paint technician trained at NHPC Japan.
Chief engineer trained through completion of the complete Nissan technical training program at Japan.
Sales and technical training in Sendai Racetrack (test ground for the GTR) including drag race style test drive in Sendai highland circuit and circuit run session with 10 GTR's and all Nissan international representatives.

The merchandise can also be bought such as the GTR original carpets which worth $2K and other GTR merchandise.

The local GTR is equipped with a black box with full details on the vehicle's history which records speed, RPM, G-Force, temperatures, pressures, suspension, gearbox, differential settings etc. This readings will only be read through NHPC authorized equipment.

Here are the two GTRs, on the left is the silver imported Spec 1 and on the right is the local Spec 2.

As you can see from the above comparison pictures, there are additional rear fog lamp, front license plate base have been removed, the 6pot Brembo calipers has been Rebadged to Nissan, Brembo and the wheels are now black compared to the gun metal grey.

Performance wise the GTR will have a bit more power, suspension and chassis bushing have been reinforced using harder bushing for better performance. The RPM for the launch control which is activated by turning on the VDC is now at 3000rpm for reliability. Even the brake hose are stiffened for improved braking performance. The monotube suspension has also been tuned for street use. All of the improvement helps the GTR shave off approximately 2 seconds at the Nurburgring from 7min 29sec to 7min 26sec and 0-100km/h in 3.5sec.

To accommodate the performance increase the gas tank size is also increased from 71L to 73.8L and the fuel economy has also increased from 8.2km/l to 8.5km/L

The local spec 2 will be the premium black edition spec with black edition interior. The safety of the vehicle has also been improved with the addition of curtain air bags, auto head lamps, rain sensors and head lamp washer. Apart from that all the manuals and booklets will be in English.
