These Airtreks maybe of the same model but different tuning route was chosen. The mild setup gives the car a good amount of power while still making it safe for the semi-automatic transmission. How ever the hardcore setup concentrates on power and even converted to a manual transmission from an Evo7 to accommodate more power.
The Airtrek is an SUV from Mitsubishi which is powered by a 4G63 engine which is a detuned Evo 7 engine so most of the engine parts are similar and a lot of the aftermarket support. The car its self has a lot of aftermarket support for bodykit and also performance.

This Airtrek belongs to Nick chose the bolt-ons and mild modifications. A balance between power and drive ability as this is a daily driven car. The exterior is dreesed up using Ralli Art Bodykit, Evolution top diffuser and covered in full RalliArt Decal.
The 4G63 engine was upgraded by using TD-05 turbo form an Evo7 and HKS intake kit filter the debries from entering the turbo while still maintaining a good airflow. Trust Spec-R front mount intercooler kit was installed to cool the air from the turbo before reaching the intake for better efficiency. Also hidden is an Evo 8 camshafts which replaces the stock for fine tuning.

Turbosmart DualPort blow-off valve helps to release the boost pressure when the throttle is released to ensure the turbo last longer from the back pressure that could go back into the turbo. Greedy oilcatch tank was also installed to filter the air from the engine to the intake to make sure the intake stays clean from all the sludge. Sard fuel pressure regulator was installed help regulate the fuel from the 255LPH Walbro fuel pump.

Carbing front sturt bar, Carbing 6 point lower arm, Carbing side bar and Zenden rear and rear lower arm bar helps to increase the chassis rigidity to improve the handling during high speed cornering. It also allows the suspension to work to its maximum potential rather than allowing the chassis to flex.

The exhaust gases exits through the 2.7" custom pipe to the Apexi N1 muffler which gives a nice exhaust note.

For better and safe power output, Nick opted for a Blitz Dual-SBC Boost controller to increase the boost and the original ECU was replaced with HKS Fcon V Pro to control the engines fueling and ignition to squeeze out the maximum power from the engine.

Alpine CDA-9856 Headunit with built in monitor is connected to a Kenwood Amplifier which powers the Soundstream components and an Atomic Class-D Monoblock amplifier powers the 12" Dual Coil Atomic Subwoofer. 1.5 farad Capacitor regulates the voltage for the 2 amplifiers. 6GB Apple I-Pod connects to the headunit supplies thousands of music for the passenger.

Defi Link display and Defi Water Temp, Oil Temp and Exhaust Temp gauges sits nicely in Carbing 3 port meter hood was installed to monitor all the vital information of the engine making sure the engine is healthy. Apexi turbo timer helps the turbo to cool down properly before it is shut down to prolong the life of the turbo. It also has the ability to show voltage and a/f reading from the factory 02 sensor.

Evo 10 18" wheel wrapped in 225/45/18 Goodyear LS2000 tyres fits nicely to the Airtrek with its OEM look.

This white monster is probably of the fastest Airtrek to date and also probably the only manual conversion Airterk in Brunei. The transmission came from an evo 8 which is a 5-speed manual transmission which translates to less drivetrain loss and enables to car to push up to 430whp. With the stock Semi-Auto Transmission it is only reliable up to 300+hp which limits the engine full potential.

The exterior of the Airtrek is equipped with DAMD front bumper which has an adjustable front splitter and Ralli Art side and rear bodykit provide the car with aggressive looks and reduce turbulence and aids in downforce for better stability.

The engine is fully rebuilt with CP Pistons, Eagle Rods and ARP bolts. Theengine is oalso rebored to 76mm for the CP pistons. Tomei metal head gasket was used to furthur lower the compression to ensure the engine's reliability. HKS valve springs helps to control the valve movement to suit the HKS 272deg camshaft which is furthur adjusted with HKS cam gears which can be seen to the Greddy clear cover and HKS fine tune timing belt which is stronger then OEM belts and last longer which means it heat resistant which reduces the chance of cracking and more durable and reliable and less chances of skipping, snapping and stretching.
Apexi plug cable supplies efficient voltage to the HKS Racing Iridium Plugs which ignites the air and fuel form the 235LPH Sard fuel pump and the 4x680cc Precision injectors.

HKS intake kit help to filter the air going into the Tomei ARMS turbocharger which is designed for a balance between response and power which helps the car to reach the 430whp mark on all 4 wheels at 1.6bar of boost which is forced through the Evo 8 intake manifold.. To relieve the boost pressure, a Turbosmart blow-off valve was used which helps the turbo to last longer by reducing back pressure on the turbo. The original radiator hose was replaced with steel piping for reliability.
The boost is controlled by HKS EVC V and to ensure the engine and turbo cools down before it shuts off an HKS turbo timer with automatic timer function was installed.

Defi gauges was installed because when upgrading the car to this extent it is vital to monitor the fuel, oil, water temperature and pressure to make sure sufficient oil and fuel is supplied to the engine and make sure the oil and water temperature is in the optimum range. It can also show signs if there are any broken parts like the fuel pump, oil pump or also the cooling system.

Custom 3"exhaust with Magna Flow 3" Race Muffler helps to extract the exhaust gases which exits to the Greddy Dynamic Twin Exhaust. Apexi Exhaust Valve Controller is equipped to control the volume and back pressure of the exhaust.

Autobahn88 oil cooler helps to keep the oil at its optimum temperature.

Evo9 front mount intercooler helps to reduce the temperature of the forced air from the turbo before it reaches the throttle body.

19" Work Euroline wheels was installed and the D2 6-pot brakes sits nicely behind the wheels. D2 Racing Coilover was also used to lower the car and also provide the car with better handling with its 32-way damper adjustability.
