On 23 December 2009, T.C.Y Motors Sdn Bhd held a press launch for their two new Peugeot models, the 207CC and 308CC that will be on sale early next year. The event was held at Manjaro restaurant in kiulap. The word CC means Coupe Cabriolet. Both of these cars are definitely a cool chic and its exterior design favors more towards lady drivers out there.

The Peugeot 207CC is a coupe as well as a cabriolet. The 207CC is designed for small car segment. The 207CC is capable of carrying 4 passengers but in reality the rear passengers must be really small and flexible in order to fit the tight space on the rear seats. The advantage of its small size body lets the car easy to manoeuvre in very tight spaces.

The beauty of the 207CC is its retractable hard roof. The opening and closing cycle of the roof takes 20 seconds. The roof can be operated when travelling at a speed of up to 12km/h. From coupe to cabriolet configuration is just a touch of button away.
Its retractable roof is automatically stored away inside the luggage compartment, while retaining a boot volume of 187 litres. (449 litres in coupe configuration)
The 207CC features a wind deflector that protects the passenger in cabriolet configuration. The “windstop” system reduces air currents as well as noise levels at high speeds. The 207CC also features a Rear safety arches with automatic deployment. This feature will ensure protection incase the car overturns whether it is in cabriolet and coupe configuration.
The 207CC is powered by a 1.6 litre VTi 120bhp engine mated with a 4 speed automatic transmission. The engine features a variable valve timing of the intake and exhaust valves and variable lift system on the intake valves. This ensures responsive acceleration as well as low fuel consumption.

The 207CC comes standard with a full leather trim and a high quality sound system specially made for the 207CC by JBL®. The insulated engine and exhaust line of the 207CC ensures excellent acoustic comfort.

The Peugeot 308CC is another latest Coupe Cabriolet offered by T.C.Y.Motors Sdn Bhd. Unlike the 207CC, the 308CC is slightly longer and have wider tracks as well as four full size seats. This gives the car more leg space especially for the rear passengers.
The 308CC is even more stylish than the 207CC. From the front end of the headlights to the rear boot of the car, the car looks amazing. When in coupe configuration, the car looks sporty and when the roof is retracted, the car overall look changes dramatically. The 308CC comes with a rear “red light curtain” taillight which is the World’s 1st in its segment.
From Coupe to Cabriolet is just 20 seconds away. With a touch of button, the hard roof is automatically stored away inside the luggage compartment. The retractable hard roof is operable even at a speed of 12km/h.

The 308CC sporty good look doesn’t stop there. The 308CC comes with more responsive engine than the 207CC. The 308CC is powered by a 1.6 Litre turbocharged engine that rated 150bhp. With a 4 speed automatic gearbox, the car ensures the driver plenty of fun on the straight line.
The lowered ride height, wide tracks and high performance suspension gives the 308CC excellent road handling.
The 308CC features large 302 x 26mm disc brakes which is equal match to the performance of its engine. The 308CC offers a highly rigid structure and excellent vibration damping demonstrating Peugeot’s coupe-cabriolet expertise.
The 308CC interior is as good as its exterior. The 308CC comes with a leather sculptured electronically operated seats fitted with Peugeot “Airwave” system. The Airwave system is located at near the headrest which acts as a scarf by diffusing warm air adjustable for temperature/flow and direction.

The 308CC includes a chest/pelvis side air bag built into the front seats and side air bag which is a world first, guaranteeing effective protection of all parts of the body regardless of seat position. Another safety feature of the 308CC is the rear “pop-up” pyrotechnic roll over protection bars. Its function is to create a passenger survival cell with the strengthened windscreen pillars. This whole operation works within a few milliseconds of the risk of a rollover being detected.
