Here is the closest video to what we can see about the HSV-010 GT in action. The sound coming from the second video is just awesome. Looks like next year SuperGT would be a blast.

It is almost the same V8 engine used in F1 as there was no Honda road car using V8 before. Production car will have to be built and sold to homologate this race car.

cant remember where i read it, the engine is actually simillar to the one used in the formula nippon series.

Production version?? Haha...Let's just hope Honda has that in mind with all this emissions/eco-thingy going on, not to mention the huge slump in Japanese economy that made it pull out of F1 in the first place.
Honda's allowed to use the HSV-010 GT in the upcoming 2010 SuperGT series without having to roll out a production version is simply because of a loophole in the regulations that says a car must be "production ready" rather than "production based".
In other words, "Yes, it's production ready. We're just not bothered to make it but let us race it please." :)
