GT3 victory for Audi at 24-hour race24h Nürburgring: AUDI AG’s new GT3 sports car successfully passed the ultimate endurance test: At the fastest 24-hour race the Nürburgring has ever seen all four Audi R8 LMS that started from the grid crossed the finish line. Christian Abt, Jean-François Hemroulle, Pierre Kaffer and Lucas Luhr (Team ABT Sportsline) clinched an unexpected second place overall in front of 235,000 spectators (throughout the weekend) and secured victory in the GT3 class for the Audi R8 LMS at its first 24-hour run right away.
Award for "Truth in 24"Le Mans: American directors Keith Cossrow and Bennett Viseltear won the first-place award at the MIFF Film Festival in Milan for their movie "Truth in 24" in the "Company Film" category. The team accompanied Audi Sport Team Joest on the way to its third triumph at the 2008 24 Hours of Le Mans with the Audi R10 TDI. The 96-minute documentary was aired by US sports channel ESPN in March and celebrated its European premiere in Milan.
Ekström Junior team keeps waiting for first pointsJTCC: At the third and fourth rounds of the Swedish Junior Touring Car Championship (JTCC) at Karlskoga, Rasmus Marthen again scored no points. The driver of the Junior team of Audi "factory" driver Mattias Ekström had to settle for places 17 and 17 in his Audi A3.
