On 30th January 2010, Premier Automobiles Sdn Bhd has conducted a special 3 day test drive for Brunei Media Press. The test drive car is Premier Automobile's latest Ford Kuga. This special test drive journey kick start from Premier Automobiles Sdn Bhd showroom in Beribi and ends at Kota Kinabalu then finally head back to Brunei Darussalam on 1st February 2010. A series of activities was planned for the Media Press such as driving up the Mount Kinabalu.

The flag-off was officiated by Mr Teng Chee Khiong, the Managing Director of Premier Automobiles.

24th Jan 2010, marks the 1st BMOG Family Gathering for 2010. Members of the Mercedes Owners gathered at Mumong Sports Complex before embarking to Tutong. This was followed by a Doa Selamat to bless the event.

A photo-shot session was organized at Dewan Masyarakatan in Tutong before the main event of the day. After the photo-shot session, BMOG proceeded to Telamba Home Stay at Telisai to spend the lovely Sunday afternoon and to mesmerize nature’s beauty. Upon arrival, Lunch was served ala-ala kampong style which is then followed by some other activities.



There will be a series of such event organized in every district planned for the year. Mission is to have closer ties within the BMOG families and to welcome new Mercedes Owners and their families as well.


Event was organized by Hj Norahmadi with the support from all the committees. On behalf of BMOG, we wish to express our gratitude to all involved and also thanks to our committed photographer, Ken Chew and Bobby and our host of the day, Bohari of Telamba Homestay.

2010 is a good year and we can already see new supercars emerging. But this Carlsson C25 Super-GT is a supercar that we wont easily get our hands on even the dough is ready on the plate. Carlsson only produces 25 cars and delivery quantity for 2010 is sold out. The Carlsson C25 is another soup up version of the Mercedes SL65 AMG Black. The C25 has a whopping 753hp 6litres Bi-turbo V12 engine and can blast from 0-100km/h in 3.7 seconds.

World Premiere at the Geneva Motor Show: Carlsson C25

Carlsson who are approved as an automobile manufacturer by the Federal German Motor Transport Authority, for the first time presents an own developed automobile at this year's Geneva Motor Show – the Carlsson C25. The concept of this Super-GT is based on the vision of combining maximum driving performance with an entirely new design and high exclusiveness. The result is a breathtaking and beautiful sports coupé with 753 hp in a limited edition of only 25 cars world-wide. Thereby, each automobile will be as individual as its future owner. "We exclusively make the cars to order and the delivery quantity for 2010 is already sold out", says CEO, Dipl. Ing. (FH) Markus Schuster.

With 753 hp and 1150 Newton metres in 3.7 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h
The performance data of the six litre V12 Bi-Turbo is impressive. The high-performance aggregate with a motor management optimisation patented by Carlsson renders 753 hp (554 kW) and allows fast acceleration as well as smooth travels at lower speeds. Also responsible for the perfect performance evolvement is the elaborately developed stainless steel exhaust system with ends in four edgy pipes at the back. The power catapults the C25 with a torque of 1320 Newton metres at 3750 r.p.m. which is electronically limited to 1,150 Newton metres from 0 to 100 km/h in only 3.7 seconds and achieves a maximum speed of 352 km/h.


Perfect combination between top performance and maximum driveability
When developing the Carlsson C25, the engineers from Gut Wiesenhof have achieved creating a Super-GT for smooth everyday use despite its very high performance. "There are more than enough super sports car in this world which can only be safely driven on a race track", says Markus Schuster. "Therefore, we deliberately wanted to develop a car which is highly exclusive on the one hand and can be used for the daily journey to office on the other hand. Therefore, a Super-GT which can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in only 3.7 seconds and still offers a very pleasant driving comfort. All security-relevant regulations such as pedestrian protection, crash behaviour, ESP, ABS, Airbag systems are identical to large series editions with most modern standards."

This is also achieved by the intelligent lowering system C-Tronic® SUSPENSION® which automatically recognises the road characteristics and driving manners and constantly adjusts the suspension setting accordingly. This does not only result in a pleasant journey on long routes, but also guarantees that the nodding and rolling motions of the C25 are reduced to a minimum while driving fast curves. Therefore, the car reaches the perfect road holding characteristics in every situation and renders the feeling of absolute controllability.
Different than other automobiles from small series, the Carlsson C25 has not been solely made for its use at the racetrack. Nevertheless, the C25 achieves top results in acceleration and handling. Compared to the racing machines with MOT approval, the Carlsson C25 offers its driver smooth journeys on Alpine passes and also on city roads or not perfectly even surfaces.


Maximum exclusiveness is ensured by only one automobile per country
In addition to the extensive refinement, the Carlsson C25 offers the advantage that every Mercedes-Benz dealer can maintain the car. As the automobile is based on the latest Mercedes-Benz technology, it is not necessary to drive to a garage, which is specialised in the Carlsson C25. Carlsson creates a perfect symbiosis of design and function
The C25 emphasises this exquisite status with its self-reliant and unique design. The elongated vehicle front with the tapered lobe between the powerful shoulders craves ahead and the generously dimensioned air inlets in the typical Carlsson trapezoid form supply the engine with the necessary ventilation. The ultra-light and forged wheels 1/10 UL in the dimensions 9,5x20 and 12x20 inches have been especially designed for the C25 and are equipped with high performance tyres measuring 265/30 at the front and 325/25 at the rear live axle.
One wheel just weighs 11.2 kilograms and therefore is 40 percent lighter than custom light alloy wheels. Ventilation ducts in front and behind the wheel houses provide the Carlsson brake system with 405 millimetres large slotted race brake discs at the front and 380 millimetre race brake discs at the rear axle with cool air. With this, Carlsson achieves the perfect symbiosis between design and function. The elongated flat rear screen and the restrained tearing edge on the boot lit as well as the generously dimensioned double diffuser render the required downthrust and therefore the C25 does not need any extensible spoilers. In order to emphasise the uniqueness of the C25, Carlsson has also developed a new rear- and front lights design.


Carlsson interior optimised for the driver
The newly designed interior resembles the exterior as far as shape, colour and functionality are concerned. The characteristic trapezoid elements at the front and back are also found on the steering wheel. On the seats and the centre console the edged shape is used as well. The instruments clearly turn towards the driver, indicate the performance capability of the C25 and increase the ergonomics.

The generous use of real carbon, tanned buffalo leather and ultra-suede in special colours provides an evenly exclusive and user-friendly ambience. For driveability reasons, Carlsson deliberately refrains from race seats, race straps, rollover devices and extreme lowering.
With the C25, Carlsson confirms its reputation as being one of the most exclusive automobile manufacturers in the world. High technical competence, many years experience in automobile construction, an advanced sense for design and elegance and German art of engineering make the Carlsson C25 unique all over the world.

The love for hatchback cars will never end especially for a hatchback like this on the line. The Volkswagen’s Sports hatch, the VW Scirocco is a wicked head-turner. The original Scirocco was first introduced in 1974 and was regarded as an exceptional sports car. The Mark II was then introduced in 1982 until 1992. After 16 years of silence, the new Scirocco emerged with a new lean, mean fighting machine looks. Its fierce face, curvature bodylines with remarkable wide rear end draws plenty of attention from bystanders. VW Scirocco has achieved numerous awards such as The Strait times Car of the Year 2009 and Top Gear Car of the Year 2008 award.



What we have here is a slightly upgraded VW Scirocco. The owner of this Scirocco has just started on its upgrades back few months. His first mods on the car were the installation of a full body kit. Currently, the Scirocco is equipped with Oettinger’s Magic.




A complete set Oettinger body kit is fitted to the Scirocco, which improves the strong frontal body lines of the Scirocco. An ABT mid rear spoiler was further added by the owner. As a result, the Scirocco is twice more menacing than stock. The white paint exaggerates the broad figure of the car. The Scirocco sits firmly on the ground on its standard 19 inch alloy wheels wrapped with Pirelli P Zero tyres.





Despite of its size, the Scirocco is swift as it is powered by a 200hp 2.0litre TSI engine mated with a six speed dual clutch DSG (Direct Shift Gearbox). The DSG gearbox ensures smooth gear change, acceleration without traction interruption and improves agility with less consumption.


With its Tiptronic system with shift paddles behind the leather steering wheel, missing a gear change during a fast pace is a thing of a past. The engine power is further enhanced with the use of Oettinger Carbon fiber air intake. On papers, the Scirocco is able to sprint from stand still to 100Km/h in just 7.1 seconds and reach the top speed at 233Km/h. According to the owner, the next mod will be the installation of the Oettinger’s sports muffler.



The Scirocco doesn’t just fleet at straight line but it is also agile around corners. Thanks to the sport chassis setup and its low centre of gravity. The Scirocco is armed with a Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) which lets you choose the style of driving experience you want, sporty chassis or more comfortable ride.






Electronic driving aid such as ESP (Electronic Stabilisation Program) with counter steering assistance, EDL (Electronic Differential Lock), TCS (Traction Control System) and ABS with brake assist comes standard with the Scirocco to help you detect critical driving situation before they happen and maintain control.




The Scirocco oozes sportiness from the exterior as well as inside the car. This sports coupe has a low seating position front sports seats and a flat bottom leather steering wheel. The quality of the “Vienna” leather seats upholstery is astounding and comfortable. This Scirocco also features a panoramic tilting sunroof with tinted glass.

BMW Canada has officially released the 2011 BMW 335is Coupe and Cabriolet specs on the net. The updated BMW 3 Series coupe & convertible will be using a 3.0liters twin turbocharged inline 6 engine pulling out 320hp. A 7 speed Double Clutch transmission (DCT) is available for the new 3 series as option. The Coupe is able to launch from 0-100km/h in 5.3seconds.

Whitby, ON. BMW Canada is pleased to announce the introduction of the 2011 BMW 335is Coupé and Cabriolet, each destined to take a place in history among the line of desirable, often collectible BMW "s" models.

Based on the newly-updated 2011 BMW 3 Series Coupé and Convertible, the new 2011 BMW 335is features the award-winning, twin-turbocharged BMW inline-6 engine, specially tuned and equipped to produce 320 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque from its 3.0-liters, and a standard 6-speed manual transmission. For the first time on a "non- M" version of the BMW 3 Series in Canada, the 7-speed Double Clutch Transmission (DCT) will be available as an option. So equipped, the 335is Coupé will be capable of 0-100 km/h acceleration in 5.3 seconds. The 2011 BMW 335is will go on sale late this spring, and pricing will be announced closer to the on-sale date.

Fundamentally unchanged are the BMW 3 Series' essential attributes of rear-wheel drive, near-perfect 50-50 weight distribution, remarkably precise steering, and skillfully engineered suspension...all of which conspire to produce the uniquely satisfying driving experience that is quintessentially BMW.


The "s" verion was first seen by Canadians on the original BMW 3 Series, imported in the late 70's and early 80's and variously included the most desirable 3 Series equipment, including Recaro sport seats, sport steering wheel, halogen high-beams, sunroof, dual color-keyed wing mirrors, anti-sway bars, exterior aerodynamic enhancements, and basketweave style light-alloy wheels. In the late-1980s, the BMW 3 Series and 5 Series were each available as "s" models, including the BMW 325es, 325is, and 535is. Again, sticking with a proven formula, BMW gave the "s" models enhanced aerodynamics, sport suspension, on-board computer (OBC) and Check Control, sport leather seats, and other features. Early last decade, the original BMW X5 Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) was available twice as an "s" model, first as the BMW X5 4.6is and then as the BMW X5 4.8is. The "s" model SAVs brought even further enhancement in the form of increased power from their modified V-8 engines.

As the newest "s" model, therefore, the 2011 BMW 335is perfectly follows its lineage by offering stunning looks, more power, and a complement of functional, performance-inspired equipment tailored to suit the enthusiast driver.



More Power.

The BMW 335is is powered by BMW's widely-acclaimed twin-turbocharged inline-6, which displaces 3.0-liters and features all-aluminum construction. This engine further benefits from BMW's High Precision direct fuel injection, Double-VANOS stepless valve timing, and advanced Digital Motor Electronics (DME) engine control system. The engine employs special DME software, contributing to an increased output of 320 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque. Through the use of temporary overboost in certain circumstances, the engine will produce up to 370 lb-ft of torque (horsepower remains 320) for even better performance during overtaking and other high-speed maneuvers.

The increased power and torque naturally place higher loads on the engine componentry, so a number of items including the cooling system of the 335is have been upgraded accordingly. An additional radiator has been added, along with a more powerful electric engine cooling fan. The front fascia of each model has been shaped with large openings to allow improved air flow to the radiators, and special emphasis was placed on the 335is Coupé's higher probability of seeing race track duty. As a result, the 335is Coupé has traded the Convertible's foglights for the largest possible air openings, which help result in a substantial increase of effective cooling capacity. These measures were taken specifically to ensure that the 335is will provide constant, reliable power under even the harshest driving circumstances. Engine mounts have also been replaced with stiffer units to help minimize deflection under very high G-loads.

Performance and Specifications.

The 335is Coupé performs 0-100 km/h runs in 5.3 seconds with the optional 7-speed DCT and 5.4 seconds with the manual 6-speed. The 335is Convertible, meanwhile, requires only 5.5 seconds for the 0-100 km/h run whether equipped with the 6-speed manual or optional 7-speed DCT. Maximum rated horsepower of 320 is achieved at 5900 rpm, and peak torque output of 332 lb-ft is achieved from 1500 - 5000 rpm. Temporary peak torque of 370 lb-ft is available under special high-load circumstances, such as when overtaking at higher speeds. The drag coefficient (Cd) is 0.30 for the 335is Coupé and 0.31 for the 335is Convertible. The vented brake rotors are the same sizes as on the standard 335i Coupé and Convertible, measuring 13.7" front and 13.2" rear.

Sensational Sounds.

Appropriately, the BMW 335is Coupé and Convertible have been fitted with a new sport exhaust system to enhance the sound and responsiveness of each model. Without being intrusive, the character of the free-flowing exhaust system has been specially tuned to focus on the low frequency "rumble" sounds that are most enjoyed with the windows (or the Convertible's retractable hard top) lowered. The system is designed to minimize the restriction of exhaust gas flow, which is always important for a turbocharged powerplant.

Unique Exterior and Inteior Design Features.

The new BMW 335is models are based on the latest BMW 3 Series Coupé and Convertible, which have themselves each been enhanced for the 2011 model year. Of those updates, the 335is models retain the new high-depth LED tail lights, new xenon adaptive headlights with LED-lighted corona rings, and the new hood which integrates with the freshened BMW kidney grille. Above and beyond those changes, the 335is will receive new M Sport upgrades which include comprehensive M aerodynamic enhancements, high-gloss shadowline exterior trim, wing mirror caps in high gloss black, kidney grille surrounds in high gloss black, and standard 18" light alloy wheels in ferric grey color. 19" M alloy wheels are optional. Exclusive "335is" badges adorn each side panel and the rear of the trunklid.

The front and rear fascias have been carefully sculpted to provide the best air management benefits, along with a healthy dose of sporting style. Starting at the front, the new air dam of the 335is Coupé is equipped with large openings meant to feed as much air as possible to the upgraded cooling system. Horizontal black planes are placed within each opening to properly guide the air into the ducts. On the 335is Convertible, front foglights are retained in place of the black horizontal guide planes. As with any M aerodynamic component, the air dams accomplish the further mission of reducing or negating lift at high speeds.

At rear, the form-follows-function design philosophy continues with a new rear diffuser intended to properly manage the high-velocity air flow exiting from underneath the vehicle. As the most aggressive ever fitted to a BMW 3 Series, the body-color rear diffuser features a black inset portion with vertical strakes that help maintain air velocity, reduce pressure, and therefore help prevent "lift" over the rear axle.

Inside, the M Sport upgrades continue with an M Sport steering wheel, M door sills, M driver's footrest, M gearshift knob (only with manual transmission), sport seats, anthracite headliner and high-quality stainless steel sport pedals. The instrument cluster features dark grey dials with a "335is" badge on the tachometer face. The aluminum glacier silver dark trim also features an exclusive "335is" badge on the standard aluminum glacier silver dark trim passenger side.


Canadian fuel efficiency figures will be available closer to the on-sale date for each model and are expected to closely follow the figures of the standard 335i Coupé and Convertible, respectively.
