On 19th February 2011, NBT (Brunei) Sdn Bhd has launched the highly anticipated Lexus's compact luxury hybrid, the Lexus CT200h at the Lexus Showroom in Gadong. The launch event was an exclusive invitation only for Lexus Patrons & Medias.



The Lexus CT200h is Lexus first entry to luxury compact hatchback segment which is dominated by Audi A3 & BMW 1 series. What set it apart from the competitors is the Full hybrid technology. It has the same Hybrid technologies used on the high-end hybrid Lexus line-up and Toyota’s Prius. With an impressive fuel consumption figure of 74.3mpg, that’s all you need to be convinced from normal petrol engine user to a Hybrid user.



The CT200h make use of two source of powerplants; the 1.8litre (99hp) VVT-I Atkinson cycle engine and an electric motor. By combining both of the power sources, the CT200h maximum power output is 134hp. The hybrid technologies used in the CT200h promises superb fuel efficiency, class leading emission levels and responsive performances. On short distances travel, the CT200h is capable of running with electric motor only which provides super quiet performance and near zero emission efficiency. An Electronic Continuously Variable Transmission takes control on the gear changes on the CT200h ensuring smooth gear change at all times.









Lexus CT200h provides driving flexibility with 4 driving modes to choose from; EV, ECO, NORMAL and SPORT mode. Whether you are into overtaking mood or near silent zero emission efficiency, the CT200h got you covered. In sport mode function, the CT200h releases its full engine output and handling potential by providing increase throttle and electric power steering response but also provides less intrusive operation of the Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) and traction control system.


The exterior of the Lexus CT200h is designed based on Lexus L-finesse design philosophy. The Ct200h features a sporty yet sophisticated body lines, aggressive frontal design and wide track stance which give the car a powerful and precision expression.

the first thing you would notice is the luxurious layout. The CT200h is roomy and the high quality suede seats are comfortable with excellent side supports. The sportiness of the exterior design follows into the cockpit with silver and black tone color scheme dashboard covered with leather. The push start button is located on the left-hand next to the steering wheel while the 4-driving mode wheel is positioned on the center console.
